Newcastle accept Australia tour with eye on FFP

Newcastle United's first team players will be heading to Australia for a post-season tour.

The Magpies are set for a money spinning trip after the Premier League concludes.

Eddie Howe's side will be at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to play against Tottenham Hotspur on May 22nd.

The game is set to draw a large crowd, given Aussie manager Ange Postecoglou is in charge at Spurs.

Fans may question whether the players need such trips after a long season, but the club has its reasons.

Per Chronicle Live, Financial Fair Play restrictions mean that any money coming in is useful.
