Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has taken aim at former coach Rudi Garcia.
De Laurentiis claims he regretted hiring the Frenchman almost immediately.
To the question "When did you realize that it wasn't the right choice?", the president told Il Corriere dello Sport:: "The day I introduced him to Capodimonte.
"I should have done a coup de Théatre and said: 'I introduced him to you, but now he's leaving'. Because someone who arrives and says: 'I don't know Napoli, I've never seen a match'… I should have understood at that moment.
"And instead I made him laugh. The fact is that he repeated it other times. It would have been enough for him to play the same football as (Luciano) Spalletti. Instead he demanded that I send away a perfect coach (Sinatti), to call one who... They told me: this packs the players for you. I had to stay in Castel Volturno from morning to evening."
