Manchester City striker Erling Haaland says his relationship with manager Pep Guardiola is rock solid.
The pair argued during victory over Burnley.
Haaland insisted to L'Equipe: “We have a very good relationship. Of course, he is very demanding in his work, he is very direct and honest in what he says, but that is the way he manages.
"In any case, to develop and progress, it is better to have the whole truth very directly. On the first day at Burnley he could be seen, but I appreciate it because he shows that he is totally committed and passionate. He's not always nice, but at the same time he confronts you with the truth and I know his goal is to make you a better player.
"But be careful, that's what happens at work. There's a lot of fun outside, really. There are many smiles, and the proof is in how the group has lived for several years."
On how Guardiola convinced him about a City move last year, Haaland added: “To be honest, he didn't have much to say. The game that Manchester City has been developing in recent seasons spoke for itself. This tiki-taka adapted to the Premier League, I really wanted to be part of it. And I have made the best possible choice, because we have made history."
