Man City management adamant they're no stepping stone for Haaland

Manchester City love Erling Haaland so much they hope to see him wear the club's shirt for the next ten years.

The Norway forward is fully fit and will play in their Premier League game on Monday against Brentford.

While manager Pep Guardiola knows top clubs such as Real Madrid will come calling, he believes that City can hold onto Haaland for a long time.

On Haaland, Guardiola said: “What do you think, we don't want Erling to stay here for one decade? Honestly. Yes, we want him to stay for a long time in this club. We are in love with him.

“First, it's an honour the important clubs want our players but in the end the players decide.

“But,   of  course,  we want to keep our best players. We need good players."
