Manchester City are pushing to land Malaga midfielder Isco.
The People says Txiki Begiristain, City's new director of football, is stepping up his pursuit of 19-year-old Isco in a bid to beat off competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Isco could be cashed in by Malaga in January with finances tight for the Spanish Liga club.
