Man City boss Guardiola tells Real Madrid: If you want Erling, then call us!

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has challenged Real Madrid to get serious if they want Erling Haaland.

The Norway striker has been linked with Real Madrid over the past week.

Guardiola told Sky Sports: "Can one piece of news change anything? No, that's not true. Everything will be decided when Erling decides whether to renew his contract with us or not, or when the club decides on this, or when we have some offers for the player.

"If anyone wants to sign Haaland, it's simple: call Manchester City and ask. This is what we do when we want to arrange a transfer. It's not all that complicated.

"Do you think we don't want Erling to spend another 10 years or so with us? We want Haaland to play for Manchester City for a long time. But I don't have any information yet.

"Erling joined us last season and his contribution has been incredible. He also had excellent statistics at the beginning of this season, missing two months due to injury. What will happen next? I don't know. We are happy that we have Haaland, I hope he is happy at the club. That's all I know."
