Man City boss Guardiola: I don't feel anything special; winning the Champions League was due

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says winning the Champions League has left him quietly satisfied.

Guardiola oversaw City's first victory in the competition on Saturday.

He told Olé: "How did I feel? I don't know, nothing special. I thought about sleeping, I didn't even drink much during the celebrations, I intended to rest. The truth is that I'm happy for so many things that come to mind.

"The Champions League is a very difficult competition to win, we all know that, and it's something that rarely happens in life, so winning it again and in this club that has welcomed me so well is something very handsome

"This year it was our turn. And so it was.

"I don't want to compare myself to Leo Messi but there's an image of him at the World Cup that makes it clear that it had to be like this. This Champions League makes sense of the five Premier Leagues we've won."
