Bojan Krkic wrote a personal letter to Stoke City's fans after his exit from the club was confirmed.

The Spanish forward has joined German club Mainz 05 on loan for the remainder of the season after seeing his playing time with the Potters cut drastically this season.

Upon making the move to Mainz, Bojan penned a heartfelt message for the Stoke faithful who have supported him so fervently since his arrival from Barcelona in 2014.

Part of the letter read: “Today sees a very special chapter in my life come to a close as another really exciting one opens.

“For the time being, this isn't a goodbye to Stoke City, it's just a 'see you soon', but I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in ensuring that I hold great memories of my time at the club.

“Of course, THANK YOU also to the Stoke City fans for their unwavering loyalty and for making me feel so special. The unique feeling on hearing the 'Ole, ole, ole…Bojan, Bojan' chant is one that will remain with me forever.

“Ole back to you!
