Former Aston Villa defender Martin Keown says last night's win against Manchester City was their best performance in years.

Leon Bailey struck for the 1-0 win.

Keown said on Match of the Day: "It was probably their best performance in years and has catapulted them now to another level.

"City were really stretched, second-best for large periods. It was just wave after wave after wave.

"[Villa were] absolutely outstanding in every department - from the goalkeeper right the way through to the centre-forward."
