Glasner: Palace know we must do better than status quo

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner expects the board to meet his ambitions.

Glasner took charge earlier this year after Roy Hodgson stepped down.

“I told the people in charge that if it's okay for them to continue to finish 16th or 17th and not get relegated, then I'm the wrong manager for that," he told Kicker.

“I don't want to maintain the status quo. I want to develop something without tying it to a spot.

“At the end of the day, winning this or that title is not so important to me. I derive more personal satisfaction from making the people in and around the club happy. That's what sticks. That's why I want to be a manager.

“Trophies tend to come last, they are nice, yes, but it's the journey there that's special. These moments, this feeling of happiness, that's what drives me."
