Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden was full of praise for Mateo Kovacic after victory over Bayern Munich in Japan.

James McAtee struck first, while Foden set up a late winner for Aymeric Laporte.

“Mateo has come straight into the team, and he has fitted in really well and looks at home," Foden said

“He's a person that can bring a lot of quality to the team.

“He is aggressive in the challenge and good at getting out of pressure in tight situations.

“I feel like him coming into the team can help us a lot and I'm really excited to play with him."
