Fiorentina patron Diego Della Valle couldn't believe Bayern Munich's winning goal in last night's Champions League defeat. The Viola were unlucky to go down 2-1 at Bayern Munich, as Miroslav Klose's last-gasp goal was several yards offside.

"It's very important for the linesman's family to take him for a trip to the optician tomorrow," said the very sarcastic club patron.

"It's the only way we can explain it. If they care about him, they'll get him seen to.

"We feel good because we wanted to see Fiorentina play like this, without fear on any pitch in the world. We saw the team vital and for that we're happy.

"The refereeing error was so obvious it doesn't even warrant a comment. I've never seen a mistake like it.

"Now we'll have a little more fire in the gut for our next game and await Bayern at home. Someone said we'd lose 6-0 here, so we need to answer that too."
