Ex-Aston Villa defender and U19 England Euros winner Suliman clear to play for Pakistan

FIFA have cleared former Aston Villa defender Easah Suliman to play for Pakistan.

Suliman, now VitoriaGuimaraes, won the U19 Euros with England, having also played for the Three Lions at U16 and U17 level.

Now 25, Suliman has been cleared by FIFA to turn out for Pakistan and could make his debut in next month's South Asian Football Federation (Saff) Championship, which is taking place in India from 21 June to 4 July.

Currently on-loan with Vilafranquens in the Portuguese Second Division, Suliman made his debut for Villa in the Carabao Cup against Wigan in August 2017.

A FIFA spokesman told BBC Sport: "We can confirm that the change of association request from the Pakistan Football Federation for Easah Suliman has been approved."
