Former AC Milan chief Ariedo Braida can understand Sandro Tonali leaving for Newcastle United.
Newcastle splashed out €80m to prise away the young midfielder.
Braida, who was with Cremonese last season, told TMW: “The British no longer surprise us.
"The market has made us understand for a while that the best of us are most often leaving. In the past, the stars came to Serie A, now fewer come... You have to work with your imagination and show your talent in finding solutions because there are players around.
"What Napoli did with (Khvicha) Kvaratskhelia is proof of this, but intuition is needed. Unfortunately, football works like this. The British use their economic resources and they have a lot of them, which allow them to take the best ones in Europe: in this way they bought Tonali and others."
