Eriksson: England hopes depend on Tottenham striker Kane

Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson believes Harry Kane is the man whose form will decide the Three Lions' World Cup fate.

The English national team are hoping to go one better than their most recent tournament, where they lost in the final of Euro 2020 to Italy.

Eriksson, who managed England in the 2000s, does have huge admiration for Gareth Southgate and his squad.

But he outlined Tottenham striker Kane as the main danger man.

“It's Harry Kane, for sure," Eriksson said, per the Daily Mail.

“He is the one who will score the goals and if he is in good shape England can do it.

“They are all important players but he is the most important. If he is fit and at his best I think England can do it.

“The only problem Southgate has is to pick the XI. He has a lot of options. Good options."
