Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi has played down losing sporting director Pietro Accardi.

Accardi is being linked with a summer move to Napoli.

Corsi told Radio 1: "I'm in difficulty in this moment... The team is going through a difficult moment and addressing this topic would not be appropriate. Let's say that I haven't thought about this problem yet.

"There are emotional bonds that go beyond the professional aspect. I've read a few things , there is this rumour. I don't know how true it is, but it would certainly be yet another problem for us. I wouldn't even begin to think about it... We have nine matches which are fundamental for Empoli.

"I certainly cannot predict what will happen I. It wouldn't be something I would take kindly to, but I might think that it is the natural consequence of a path undertaken in the best possible way."
