Manchester City signing Edin Dzeko will make his first appearance for his new club against Wolves next weekend.
The Bosnian striker, who joined from German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg during the week, is set to be deployed for City when the Premier League returns on January 15.
"Dzeko will be an important player, he is very different from the other strikers we have here," City boss Roberto Mancini said.
"He will be important for the rest of the season. He will play next weekend and be available against Wolverhampton."
