Crystal Palace have made contact with former Alaves manager Mauricio Pellegrino regarding the vacant managerial position at the club.
Pellegrino, who was assistant to Rafa Benitez at Liverpool and Inter Milan, resigned from his job on Monday after leading the newly-promoted side to an impressive ninth place in the league and a spot in the Spanish Cup final.
Meanwhile, Palace have been actively looking for their new manager following the exit of Sam Allardyce last week.
