Caballero on Guardiola and Man City: Don't forget Estiarte and Cugat

Southampton goalkeeper Willy Caballero says Pep Guardiola transformed Manchester City when he arrived.

Caballero recalled City allowed Guardiola to bring in his own men to affect the changes he needed.

He told Marca: "The arrival of Guardiola and (Martin) Estiarte, who controls everything, meant a very important change in all areas. Everything changed for the better, from the organization of the week and the trips to the training sessions.

"Pep came with his people and changed the way they work so that the players feel comfortable and only think about football. He brought in a lot of people he trusted, not only in the technical staff, but also Dr. Cugat, and they were fully involved from day one.

"Guardiola's first year is essential to assimilate the concepts, but all changes take time and, perhaps, he didn't have the players he needed either. We also lacked a little luck to open the games. There are many things, but one is certain: Guardiola seeks perfection all the time."
