Brighton chief Paul Barber says he's hopeful of manager Roberto de Zerbi staying.

The Italian is being linked with Barcelona.

But Barber told BBC Radio Sussex: ""We want him to stay here as long as possible, he is doing a great job and for this reason he has attracted so much interest.

"We are fighting for the top positions in the Premier League table, we are in the round of 16 of the Europa League and we are still in the running In the FA Cup, we are already part of the highest levels of football.

"We remain humble, but we are achieving great results and this means that many people will want to come here, but also to stay."
