Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has again discussed their plans for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Hainer admits the Portugal midfielder remains a target ahead of the January market.
He told BILD: “He was here for a medical check, but in the end his club didn't give the green light, which we regret. But as I said, we're looking at the market.
“Bavaria are economically well positioned and able to act. But as I said: It has to make sense."
For Palhinha, Bayern know they will have to pay big given he penned a new deal to 2028 with Fulham after the market closed.
