O'Hara, who also played for Wolves and Fulham among others, replaces Harry Wheeler in the Billericay hotseat with immediate effect.

A statement released by Billericay read: "We can now confirm that Harry Wheeler has been relieved of his duties and has left the club after a recent meeting with the owner.

"Differences of opinion have led to the decision and the owner feels changes needed to be made.

"Jamie O'Hara will take control of first team duties and will look to immediately make his mark by looking at bringing in some young talented academy players to add to the good experience we have.

"From all at the club we wish Harry all the best for the future and we thank him for all his efforts and successes in his time here."

Williams is the Under-23s' captain but his evening at Leigh Sports Village ended disappointingly as he was shown a second yellow card for a mistimed challenge in the closing stages.

The 18-year-old had earlier been booked after an altercation with Fulham striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Wood said he needs to learn from his mistake.

"He was really good [up until the sending off]," Wood told the Manchester Evening News. "He's got a red card, a one-game ban and his little retaliation, he's going to have to learn.

"He had a little flare-up with the lad (Taylor-Crossdale) earlier and got his first caution, but it's something he's going to have to learn from. He's old enough and mature enough to know he let himself down a little bit but I'm sure he'll learn from the experience."

For the U23s win over Fulham, it looked to be heading for a draw until Belgian winger Ramazani beat two men down the right flank before crossing for Dylan Levitt to turn home in the 85th minute.

Ramazani has scored four goals and notched two assists in six appearances this season and Wood is urging the 18-year-old to continue his fine form.

"He's really improved," U23 coach Wood said of Ramazani. "He had a really good pre-season, he's come back and he seems to have matured his game on the pitch and he's producing goals, he's producing assists.

"We thought his second half compared to his first half was really good and when he's on that kind of form you kind of see what he can do, but it's about getting him to maintain that level."

While the 19-year-old found the step up to the Premier League with Fulham more challenging last season, Pochettino is confident he will enjoy success at Tottenham, but called for patience.

He said: "You can be a very good player, but you need a platform, team-mates and good coaching staff to help you. Then you need time and luck and training hard and hard work.

"Sometimes the people don't realise that for a player with talent to have a good career and be successful you need a platform. Tottenham, I hope, will provide that platform.

"It's the platform provided for Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Harry Winks and different players that were very successful in their moment. I hope that happens with him too because he's a great talent."

He added: "From the Championship with Fulham to Tottenham in the Champions League is going to be completely different.

"The good thing is that he has the capacity to play in different positions. That's an interesting quality and maybe he can play in different positions for us. It will be very helpful."

The Sun reports police taking part in an investigation into suspected fraud surrounding Mitrovic's move to Newcastle have made two arrests after a series of raids across Europe.

Authorities in Belgium have been conducting far reaching inquiries into suspected money laundering related to transfers in the country since earlier this year.

Mitrovic's 13million transfer from Anderlecht to Newcastle four years ago has formed part of their investigation, which saw the Belgian FA headquarters searched in April.

And over the past 24 hours, police and tax officials raided properties in London, Monaco and Belgium - with the Mitrovic deal said to be central to the development.

An agent was detained in Monaco, along with his assistant who was held in the Belgian city of Liege.

A statement from the Belgian prosecutor's office said: "The facts involve notably money-laundering operations and private corruption in the context of football player transfers."

Fulham striker Mitrovic, 24, is not thought to play any part in the investigation.

I know how tough the Championship is and it won't be any different for us. We'll have to work hard for it but the squad is very good and my job will be to help them push for promotion."

The Manchester United legend was Martin O'Neill's partner in charge of the national team from 2013 to 2018 before both left their roles in November last year.

"I'll give you an example. Jon Walters, the last two or three years - Jon does a lot of talking, it's amazing. Harry Arter, he went to Cardiff on loan, got relegated. Wardy can't get in the Stoke team, at the moment, bottom of the league," Keane said while speaking at an Off The Ball event in Dublin.

"Imagine if Jon won a trophy. He talks a good game. He goes on the TV, on about how he was harshly treated by me. Not kicking a ball for Burnley for two or three years.

"On TV, crying about his family situation. You know, how about lying low for a while, taking it easy? Have a look at his medals? Wouldn't take long.

"Ironically two or three years ago when his career was coming to the end, he went to Ipswich on loan. I was laughing my head off.

"When we were beaten by Wales, he didn't have a good game. Wardy didn't have a good game. They need to go back and see how bad they were."

After signing Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham, Spurs are focusing their interest on his twin brother Steven!

The lesser known Sessegnon is also a Fulham player. While Spurs tried to sign him in the same deal as Ryan, any efforts were knocked back by Fulham.

Per The Sun, they will make another attempt to sign Steven, as they rate him extremely highly.

The youngster will be involved with the England under-21 setup for their upcoming games against Turkey and Kosovo this week.

He has been involved in Fulham's Championship games since the start of the season, starting four of the first six.
