Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier feels he doesn't get the recognition he deserves in England.

Dier has just signed for Bayern permanently from Tottenham.

He told The Times: "I have always felt that I am perhaps more valued in Portugal than in England. I may not be talked about with the respect I should get for what I have achieved in my career.

"I wouldn't say that the perception of me is positive (in England), but I don't feel sorry for myself in the least.

"I know what I have done and not done. No one is more critical of myself than myself."

Dier kicked off his pro career with Sporting CP.
