Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with their 3-0 win at Empoli.

Gasperini praised the attitude of his players going into the game. Gianluca Scamacca scored twice and created the other for Teun Koopmeiners.

Gasperini said: "We faced the match with great attention and concentration. Against a team that was not easy to face, especially after their victory against Fiorentina: Empoli is in fact capable of putting anyone in difficulty.

"We were very good and we must be happy to have 19 points after 10 days, with six victories under our belt. Indeed, we can be a little disappointed for a few points lost along the way.

"Furthermore, we also did well in the Europa League: I would say that on the eve of the match we would all have signed up for a similar first part of the season".
