Atalanta burn off Serie A competition to reach deal for West Ham striker Scamacca

Atalanta have swooped for West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca.

Scamacca was also wanted by Roma and Inter Milan, but is set to join La Dea, reports Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Atalanta will pay £21m up front, with a further £4m due in bonuses.

Scamacca is due in Italy today for a medical with Atalanta, with personal terms having been struck.

The deal will also include a 10 per cent sell-on option.
