Valencia will work with Barcelona to sign Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu in January. El Mundo Deportivo says Romeu has now been linked with a move away from west London, with Valencia sending scouts to watch him during Spain's U-21 international against Croatia.

There is a clause in Romeu's contract which allows Barcelona to buy back the midfielder for a fee of £12million.

Barca could be willing to co-operate with their La Liga rivals to help bring Romeu back to Spain.
