Florin Gardos is on the verge of completing his move to Southampton.
The 25-year old Steaua Bucharest defender has undergone a medical with the Saints ahead of a transfer to the south coast club.
Gardos, who has played more than 10 times for Romania, will arrive at St Mary's as a direct replacement for Croatia international Dejan Lovren who joined Liverpool for £20million earlier this summer.
When the Gardos deal is complete, the centre-back will join Ryan Bertrand (on loan from Chelsea), Saphir Taider (from Inter Milan) and Fraser Forster (from Celtic) as Ronald Koeman's new Southampton signings in the current transfer window.
