Sheffield United fullback George Baldock hopes more signings arrive.

Ben Brereton Diaz joined last week on-loan from Villarreal.

Baldock told the Sheffield Star: "I have no idea with the finances that go on at football clubs; it's way beyond my pay grade.

"I'm sure the manager will look at it and want some reinforcements of course, with where we are in the division and if he can, then brilliant. It's always good seeing new faces coming into a dressing room. It gives everyone a new lease of life to everyone involved in the football club.

"Maybe we do need a bit of a spark to push on. These next few weeks will be a big turning point for us because we've got time on the training ground. We had six Premier League games with the new manager and had hardly any time on the training ground.

"Some big players are injured and they'll come back and hopefully we can then go forward. We know we've got a lot of work to do. But this is football, and you never know."
