Geordie great Alan Shearer admits Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder faces a tough situation with contract rebel John Lundstram.

Chris Wilder says the Blades will listen to offers for the midfielder after he rejected an offer of a new contract to stay at Bramall Lane.

Shearer said on BBC Sport: "He is entitled to do what he wants in terms of turning down the contract but then the manager is entitled to do what he wants with picking the team.

"Whether he feels he is not in the right mind, that might be why he hasn't picked him.

"It can't be nice for the club when that happens, especially after last season."
