Premier League giants Manchester United opened talks with Real Sociedad regarding one of their out of favor midfielders.

Netherlands star Donny van de Beek has long been linked with a move away from the club.

Now it appears the attacking midfielder may get the chance to resurrect his career.

Per The Mail and other sources, Real Sociedad and United are discussing terms of a deal.

Whether van de Beek leaves on loan or permanently is not yet clear, as discussions are at an early stage.

United would prefer a sale, as they would use the money to secure manager Erik ten Hag's preferred target Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
