Manchester United have high hopes for Colombian youngster Mateo Mejia.

The Sun says Mejia is set to be handed a new deal by United in the coming weeks.

And they intend to send the striker away on-loan next season for his first taste of senior football.

United signed Mejia from Real Zaragoza in 2019. Born in Spain, he has now committed his international future to Colombia.

Mejia is now in Argentina for the U20 World Cup.
