Man Utd freeze out senior midfielder from Champions League squad

Manchester United have named the players who will represent the club in Europe's premier club competition.

The Red Devils have put out their 25-man Champions League squad for the group stages.

As they prepare to take on Bayern Munich, Galatasaray, and Copenhagen, United will be hoping to progress to the latter stages.

However, they have left out £40 million flop Donny van de Beek, who may be in the wilderness until January.

The Dutch attacking midfielder, who worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax, has not impressed his countryman at United.

Summer arrivals Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, Sergio Reguilon, Sofyan Amrabat and Altay Bayindir are all in United's squad.

Jonny Evans, who is the fifth choice center back this season, is on United's club-trained list of players.
