Manchester City have named veteran midfielder Frank Lampard in their Champions League squad for the 2014/15 season.
The 36-year old former England international departed Chelsea at the end of last season to join MLS expansion franchise New York City FC before being loaned to City who own the American club.
Lampard is only on loan at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the year but the English Premier League champions have included him in their revised 21-man squad after having their initial quota of 25 reduced because of breaching FIFA's financial fair play rules.
Also included in Manuel Pellegrini's European roster are summer signings Willy Caballero, Bacary Sagna, Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando.
City have been drawn alongside German giants Bayern Munich, Italian side AS Roma and Russian outfit CSKA Moscow in Group E and kick off their Champions League campaign against the German champions on September 17.
