Lampard denies Chelsea dressing room unrest

Frank Lampard denies reports of a rift between the Chelsea players and manager Andre Villas-Boas.

After victory at Wolves, Lampard was quick to dismiss speculation of dressing room unrest.

"We've been here before with Chelsea, there is always a big spotlight on us," he pointed out on chelseafc.com. "It's important the players in the dressing room work hard. It's us that go out there and play and it's up to us to go and show the fans what we're about so we have to do it on the pitch and then those stories go away.

"The team spirit is okay, when you are losing games it's the first thing people look at and it takes the big players and everyone to stand up and make a difference, which we did today,' he continued. 'It's something we've prided ourselves on for many years at Chelsea, it's won us titles and won us things but if you lose that you can't be at the top.

"If you don't play well enough you don't get results. It's difficult now, teams aren't mugs and they all set out very well and if you're not at your best you won't win games. We haven't been at our best since winning against Valencia and man city, we dropped our standards."
