Bayern Munich star Eric Dier is back in the frame for an England recall this summer.

That is the view of England captain and Bayern teammate Harry Kane, who has praised Dier.

The ex-Tottenham defender signed for Bayern in the winter and has already become an important player.

After progressing to the Champions League quarter finals, Kane stated: “He has shown his quality with the ball and he has shown his quality as a leader.

“He has to keep doing what he is doing. Gareth Southgate knows what he is capable of and it will be pleasing for him to see another Englishman playing at the highest level. Hopefully, Eric can keep it up.

“Eric has been a big part of the national team in recent years.

"He missed out on the Euros squad but was with us at the World Cup.

"All Eric can do is perform the way he has. I am really proud of him."
