Jannick Vestergaard says he's happily settled at Southampton.

The Denmark defender is currently recovering from a knee strain.

He told Goal: "Our style of play is a perfect match for me. When I was injured, I played well in the best league in the world and for Denmark.

"The club was a good place, but I actually think it would have felt worse if I had had a bad period at the time and if the results had not been good."

Vestergaard added: "We all know about football. There are ups and downs every season for all clubs and all players in the world. Now we just want to work hard to get back on our successful track."
