Istanbul Basaksehir are aiming to sign Aston Villa winger Trezeguet today.

The Egyptian is currently away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations and scored the winner in extra-time against Morocco to send them through to the semi-finals on Sunday.

Trezeguet has missed most of the season with a serious knee injury he sustained during a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in April.

Istanbul Basekshir are currently 8th in the Turkish Super Lig but are only four points off third place Alanyaspor. They want to take Trezeguet on-loan to June, says the Daily Mail.

Villa have already seen the departure of winger Anwar El Ghazi on loan to Everton.
