Derby County striker Steve Howard is confident they have the attack to unsettle Premiership defences.

"I think we've got to attack," said the 31-year-old. "We've brought in Earnie and I think that shows that our plan is to attack.

"A lot of teams go up there and sit back but I don't think we can afford to do that.

"We'll go up there to hunt teams down and give it a real go.

"Rob's a good player. He'll score a lot of goals and we're going to need that. The signings the manager has made so far are superb additions.

"Anything that strengthens the squad is fantastic for us."
