Forster exits Celtic to be part of 'something special' at Southampton

Fraser Forster has spoken with delight of his transfer from Celtic to Southampton.

The 26-year old English goalkeeper has signed a four-year contract with the Saints for a fee of around £10million and is eagerly anticipating getting a special project started with new manager Ronald Koeman.

"I just felt it was a fantastic opportunity. Southampton is a top club, playing Barclays Premier League football every season," Forster said on Southampton's official Twitter page.

"I'm just delighted to be down and to be a part of it now, and to have the move all finalised.

"To be at a club like Southampton is something special, and something I'm really looking forward to being a part of.

"To come and play for Ronald Koeman is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's something that you can't turn down.

"I'm just delighted to be here and that the club have put their faith in me by paying the money to get me in."
