Nathaniel Chalobah has been named the England Men's Youth Player of the Year for 2012.

The Chelsea midfielder/defender, currently on loan with Watford, was voted in by Club England coaches as the most outstanding young player in the England youth setup throughout last year.

Chalobah has made over 50 appearances for England youth teams since his U16s debut in 2008 and was part of the Young Lions side which took out the U17s European Championship in 2010.

Chalobah beat Derby County midfielder Will Hughes and Everton's John Lundstram to the award.
