Inter Milan legend Beppe Bergomi has backed the swap proposed by Barcelona.

Barca are willing to offer Franck Kessie to Inter in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic.

Bergomi said: “Brozovic was irreplaceable for Inter until (Hakan) Calhanoglu was tried in that role, also for the one on the market had been taken by (Kristjan) Asllani even if the Turkish player then played, with whom Inter had more continuity than Brozovic.

"Inter have a midfield with little physicality, Kessié would be an interesting profile considering that an excellent Brozovic deputy has been found in Calhanoglu.

"It is an exchange that has its own logic."
