Ajax captain Dusan Tadic has blasted Dutch authorities for shutting down the Eredivisie.
Despite leading the table, Ajax will not be declared champions with the league abandoned due to the coronavirus suspension.
"I am not happy at all. I would have wanted to play a final against AZ," former Southampton star Tadic told AS.
“Of course I couldn't be happy when I heard this news. It is not fair that there is no champion of Netherlands this season. People who know me know that I am a footballer and love the game.
"We've had a good season ... I play soccer to win games, win titles, achieve something. Although we have the first place in the league, we also have to get the title. “I would even agree to play a deciding game against AZ. The winner of that competition is champion. But not to name a champion is a disaster."
