Duvan Zapata has hailed his Atalanta teammates over their Champions League success.

Out since October due to a thigh injury, the striker has watched on as Atalanta have reached the Champions League round of 16.

He said, “We achieved something extraordinary. When we won the decider away to Shakhtar Donetsk, I was watching in a restaurant in Seville.

"I was going crazy with the celebrations and nobody could figure out what was happening to me.

“We are very happy and were also fortunate when it came to the draw, as it could've gone worse than Valencia."
