Young breaks squad silence on Everton takeover

Veteran winger and defender Ashley Young has become the first Everton player to talk about the club's potential takeover.

Young, who joined the Toffees in the summer after leaving Aston Villa, has been involved under manager Sean Dyche this term.

With news that Everton majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, is ready to sell the team to 777 Partners, Young chimed in on how the players may be feeling.

He showed his experience in an interview, indicating that players must spend their time worrying about what they can control.

On talkSPORT, he said: "It isn't what the fans want to hear, but us as players have got to concentrate on what goes on on the pitch.

“That's all we can worry about and just hope for it to be run smooth and the process be easy for the club, and like I say, as players, all we have got to do is go out there and produce on the pitch."
