Wolves sports chief Hobbs cops FA charge after Newcastle clash

Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs has been charged by the FA with misconduct following their 2-2 draw with Newcastle last Saturday.

The incident occurred after the final whistle at Molineux.

"It's alleged that his language towards a match official in the tunnel after the final whistle was improper and/or abusive and/or insulting," said the FA.

A flashpoint was the penalty won by Newcastle and converted by Callum Wilson.

Wolves felt aggrieved over the hand-ball awarded against Hwang Hee-chan.
