Wolves boss O'Neil: The key factor for our improvement

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil insists being adaptable and flexible are the keys to their success this season.

The Midlands club were given no chance to avoid relegation at the beginning of the new campaign.

O'Neil came in for the departed Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the new Premier League season, but has impressed with Wolves so far this term.

After a 2-1 win over old club Bournemouth, he stated: "Since I have taken over the big key for me is being adaptable and flexible.

"My ideal would be, and I'd love to take on Man City and press everything and have 70 percent of the ball.

"Is that going to happen and we win the game? Probably not.

"So it is about how far away I need to go from my ideal to give us the best chance to win the game.

"When Man City came to us it was nowhere near my ideal, it was low, we didn't have much of the ball but it gave us the best chance to put three points on the board."
