Wilder on track to replace Allardyce as manager of relegated West Brom

Chris Wilder is on track to replace Sam Allardyce as manager of relegated West Brom.

The Mirror says Wilder is West Brom's first choice to take over at The Hawthorns and is keen to return to management with the Baggies.

Wilder has spoken to West Brom and outlined his vision for leading the club back to the Premier League.

Both sides are happy to continue talks and are ironing out the final details before his appointment can be confirmed.

West Brom have other candidates, including Frank Lampard, David Wagner and Michael Appleton, but are focusing for now on getting a deal with Wilder over the line.
