Wigan Athletic teen Alfie Devine is in London for a Tottenham medical.

The Daily Mail says Spurs hope to compete the deal to sign the 15-year-old midfielder by the end of the weekend.

Tottenham had a £500,000 deal rebuffed earlier this week but talks are back underway and a deal is likely.

The 15-year old joined Wigan after being released by Liverpool and starred for them in their FA Youth Cup run this season where they beat Spurs 2-0.

His form prompted Wigan to play him in their Under-23s and he has been capped by England at Under-16 level.

Championship club Wigan need to sell to help fund players' wages after being put into administration.
