West Ham United haven't dropped their pursuit of Southampton striker Ricki Lambert.
A deal appeared in place last week before Saints chairman Nico Cortese's dramatic resignation.
The Mail on Sunday says West Ham will re-table a £7m bid for Rickie Lambert in the next few days.
Despite the statement from Southampton's reluctant owner Katharina Liebherr that the club would not offload any of their players this month the club HAS accepted in principle West Ham's bid for the England striker.
The reason the deal has not moved on has been over Lambert's wage demands.
