West Ham are pushing to sign Alaves defender Guillermo Maripan in the coming days.
The Irons, report Marca, want to wrap up a deal for the Chile international before the Copa America kicks off.
West Ham have already had an opening offer of €11.5m for Maripan turned down, with Alaves rating him in the €25m class.
For his part, Maripan stated from Chile's training base: "From childhood I have always liked the Premier League. I would go there, it's a great challenge on a personal level, it's my second season in Europe, I feel very good in Spain, but I would like to go to the Premier.
"I will decide the future after the Copa. Now I'm just thinking about the Copa America."
